Address book
I am trying to organise my address book in an electronic way that I (with my plain text mindset) and Mary (with her Windows Vista-Outlook outlook) will both be happy to use.

Vcard seems to be the standard I need, so I have just installed rolo to try out. Any other suggestions out there?

You can get most addressbook/calendars to communicate through vcard standard, though there do still appear to be some small compatability issues as to how each application records fields (I find that there is a subset which does appear to always work).

Not sure about Vista outlook, as at work (still XP/Office 2003) I found I could not get it to export my work contact list in vcard.

I use Evolution on Ubuntu 8.10 and Window mobile 6 on my Smartphone and sync through http://www.scheduleworld.com which seem to have clients for most systems (including, for the Calendar, Google Calendar).

However getting my addressbook list out of Evolution and into my Siemens Sip phone was more of a pain, even using the vcard (.vcd) export as the Siemens import facility is pretty broken (for a start it doesn't properly support IDs with multiple phone numbers, nor does it understand unix line returns).
